Cameron Highland Road Accident Killed 25 People on The Spot.
A massive road accident took the lives of twenty-five people on the spot. The accident happened yesterday, when a double-decker bus hit a divider and reversed on its way down from Cameron Highlands towards Kuala Lumpur.
According to the reports, it is possibly the worst accident that happened in Malaysian history. It took place around 11.40 a.m.
It took about 100 police workers, Fire and Rescue Department, Public Works Department and Civil Defence Department more than 3 hours to recover the bodies.
In this disaster, which happened at 15 km of the Cameron Highland-Simpang Pulai road took the lives of 25 Thai nationals, had been on a holiday in the hill resort.
As said by a Perak deputy police chief Senior Assistant, Comm Datuk Zakaria Yusof, said the other two dead peoples were Malaysians, one victim is the driver and another one is the tour guide.
One witness said the accident is so shocking, when he arrived at the spot he saw some of the injured victims creeping out from the upturned bus.
According to the reports, out of 10 injured people, one is discharged after being treated for slight wounds, 3 were underwent surgery and the left warded as at 7 p.m. Due to this accident, road and rail journeys are also interrupted.
